Recently a friend loaned me a book, telling me that she thought I would really enjoy it. She was absolutely right, and you don’t need to know me well to know that a book titled “The Go-Giver - A Little Story about a Powerful Business Idea” would be right up my alley. This book is written by Bob Burg and John David Mann and if the concepts in the book are taken to heart and applied, it will do great things for your business. Written as a parable, the story is enjoyable, easy to identify with, and is a quick read.
This book follows Joe, who is struggling to make his sales goal, as he learns important lessons about giving rather than getting. The lessons are learned through successful business people such as a restauranteur, real estate broker … and more … and someone called “The Connector”. Joe learns five lessons in five days, all of which constitute the “Five Laws of Stratospheric Success”. The style in which the book is written and the “laws” are presented will have you engaged and inspired. A powerful message is contained in this short book, and you won’t be sorry you read it … you will immediately want to implement what the authors present in your life, both business and personal.
