giving thanks

As you pause to give thanks or quietly reflect on what you have to be thankful for, remember the importance of being thankful throughout the year. Let those who are important to you know they are important to you. If someone has helped you in any manner, let them know how much you appreciate it. You may even want to keep a gratitude list so that you can always remind yourself of the many things in your life you are grateful for.

Zig Ziglar wrote in his newsletter this week about gratitude, and I’d like to share an excerpt:

“Gratitude will not only make you healthy and happy, it will also change your perspective in life. Happy people basically focus on others; unhappy people focus on themselves and wallow in self-pity and doubt. Grateful people are far more optimistic and see whatever circumstances they’re in as an opportunity for good.”

On this Thanksgiving as you pause to give thanks, consider gratitude as a lifelong attitude. It’s a change you’ll be thankful you made.
