the first weekend of a new month

The time is flying by and another week has drawn to a close. Summer is winding down and fall is around the corner. Before we know it, the holidays will be here and the year will start anew. Fall is often a time when many become rejuvinated about their business, and I hope that you’ve got your plans in place for your 4th quarter to help make your year one that exceeds its goals.

For those of you whose lives have been touched by cancer, please consider attending a free and fun event called “Art Heals”. This event is being held on Tuesday, September 9 at 7pm at Art Works, which is located inside Lady Works Fitness on Highway 31 in Pelham. Bring a bottle of wine, relax, spend time with friends and/or family, and get in touch with your artistic side. I’ll be there even though I don’t have an artistic side, so if you attend please say hello.

My mind has been racing lately with all kinds of different thoughts, and it’s been interesting to sort them all out. It’s been a time of introspection and even growth and renewal. Looking forward to new and exciting things has been good for the spirit, and realizing the positive impact others have had on me has brought a sense of calm to my life. I’m thankful that I am fortunate enough to have people in my life who inspire me and encourage me to do things to improve myself.

I’m closing this post for now as the week draws to a close. Tomorrow is a bittersweet day for me, but a day that I will always fondly remember. I hope the weekend is good for you (and your respective teams), and I hope you are able to share it with those you care about. Surround yourself with Tigger’s and not Eeyore’s, and enjoy the weekend before we’re all up and at it again next Monday.
