I don’t know why I always find it surprising when I re-discover the effect that those you surround yourself with has on you. It’s so important that those around you are like-minded and positive. If you are goal-oriented and are drawn to success, those are the types you want to surround yourself with. They will inspire you, encourage you, and support you … and I think you can agree that those attitudes are contagious and they make people WANT to be around you.
Over the past several weeks I have talked about the Cubs, but what about our awesome Olympic athletes? It’s so inspiring to watch these fabulous men and women go for their Olympic dream. It’s taken them hours upon hours, and years upon years of training and preparation … I can just imagine the adrenaline and excitement they must feel to be there realizing their dream. For many, to be an Olympic athlete was something they dreamt of as a child and they gave it their all and never gave up on that dream. How exciting to see that dream coming to fruition! Just goes to show that you should never, ever give up on your dream - keep working, keep reaching and it CAN happen! It takes dedication, but if you want it badly enough you should never give up.
So, to answer the title of this post … yes, you can win gold. But only as a result of dedication and hard work.
It seems this is my weekly reminder, but remember to be a Tigger and not an Eeyore. Those around you will appreciate it and will respond in a positive manner. How could anyone not respond positively to Tigger?! :) Do something nice for someone and make them smile. They’ll feel better and so will you.
Hope everyone has had a great week (hope it was profitable!), and here’s hoping that your weekend will be as fabulous as mine is going to be!
