randomness abounds

Time for Wanda’s weekly random babble. :)

We talk so much about building your business by forging and maintaining good relationships and it’s so rewarding to see that start to happen. It’s interesting to me to sit back and think about the progression of relationships, but then again I’ve been told that I can over-analyze things. This can apply with any relationship, whether it’s personal or professional … but when good and solid professional relationships are in place it’s such a win/win. We often talk about how professional relationships are just like personal relationships in that they take work to maintain. Those relationships aren’t things that should be taken for granted, so be sure that you’re making every effort you can to build those relationships.

I have to share a monthly event that is taking place at Art Works in Pelham. Art Works is actually located in Lady Works on Highway 31, and is a painting studio where, from what I’m told, even someone like me (who cannot draw a decent stick person) can walk out with a painting. Oh, and you can bring your favorite adult beverage with you. How fun is that? The classes are held in a group setting and you’re walked through a step-by-step process. But I digress. The monthly event I wanted to share is called Art Heals, and is a free class for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. These special classes will be held on the second Tuesday of each month. Please check it out. As someone who has been touched by cancer, I can say that I wish it was an outlet that was around years ago. More information is available at their site (linked above).

I enjoy hearing others talk about or watching them do things that they are passionate about. It could be a dream they are working to achieve or something they have found that truly helped them. It could be anything - yoga, playing in a band, you name it. But I love catching that enthusiasm from them. That passion and enthusiasm - the positive outlooks - those wonderful spirits and attitudes are so great to be around, and that enthusiasm is contagious. We need more of them in this world, dontcha think? It’s so uplifting to be around.

Signing off for this week. Remember to be a Tigger and not an Eeyore. And if there is something you want to do or dream of doing - go make it happen. Keep thinking of the motto of the Cubs fans - IT’S GONNA HAPPEN! You’ll be glad you did, because you CAN make it happen.

Have a fabulous weekend!
