Get Real!

In his latest book, Larry Winget doesn’t beat around the bushes. In fact, he mows them down. The title, It’s Called Work for a Reason! Your Success is your Own Damn Fault, accompanied by a picture of the author, who calls himself an irritational speaker, was simply too much to pass up. After reading the straight-forward, no-nonsense advice from “The Pitbull of Personal Development,” I can’t wait to get a hold of his other books, Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get a Life, and You’re Broke Because You Want to Be. If the titles of his books give you the impression that Winget tells it like it is, you’re dead on. I would recommend this read for anyone who is tired of hearing the same old advice delivered the same old way. If you need to have your hand held, or rely on the occasional pat on the back for support, this book is not for you. One of my favorite lines in the book deals with getting better as a salesperson. As Winget sees it, “If your sales suck, it’s because as a salesperson, you suck.” Thank you sir, may I have another? This book will hit you square between the eyes and then blame you for getting in the way of the punch. I can’t tell you enough how much I believe we need more books like this one. Too many people out there are not getting the results they want out of their business and/or their life, and yet they refuse to take personal responsibility for it. If you’re ready to take a hard and honest look at the results you’re getting (or not getting), pick up a copy of It’s Called Work for a Reason: Your Success is Your Own Damn Fault today and start doing something about it!
